LDA© Test
LDA stands for Line count, Dot area and Angle. The Chromatix® LDA© TEST is a test designed by Mike Ruff, Nazdar Consulting Services' Chief Technology Officer Nazdar Consulting Services to accurately identify line counts, curves and angles that are possible for a screen printer to print with a specific mesh and emulsion. The benefit to the printer is the elimination of attempting to print line counts that are a chronic problem, and identify line counts that the printer is able to print consistently. The testing required to test multiple line counts and multiple angle sets and then set print curve numbers used to be overwhelming. But through the Chromatix® LDA test we save many hours of testing by combining these tests on a one-color print for optimum results. For example, the standard LDA test can perform 96 tests in as little as 4 hours. The one-color test will provide information of the best line counts for the mesh, the best angle combinations and the proper dot gain curves on multiple substrates. The results include identification of proper screen making coatings, eexposures and techniques, minimization of moiré, and documentation of correct line counts, angle sets and curves.

Feasibility Study
A one-to-one and a half day study of a printing facility intended to provide the client with a document similar to the Chromatix Brief. The deliverables of a feasibility study are:

1. Detailed evaluation of labor, skills, equipment and productivity for all 7 KPA’s (Key Process Areas)

KPA 1 – Sales and Customer Service
KPA 2 – Prepress, Proofing and Production Art
KPA 3 – Screen Making
KPA 4 – Ink LAB
KPA 5 – Printing
KPA 6 – Digital Printing
KPA 7 – Management

2. Documentation of Solutions for each department

3. Detailed implementation plan

Impact Assessment
Very similar to the Feasibility Study, but focused more on the productivity and financial impact Chromatix could have on the Impact Assessment client. The impact assessment is a good tool to project the positive financial impact increased productivity can have for the company assessed. The report normally takes 4 to 8 hours to generate. The deliverables of the study include impact reports for all 7 KPA’s, as well as an implementation plan and proposal for the recommended Chromatix Program.
